At last, here they are, some photos of my woolly monsters in their finished alien technology set, ready to animate! The photos were taken using my new FZ50 and you can click on them to see the BIG versions on flickr:
It's probably best not to ask what the heck is going on in the last photo!

Finally ! Now I recognize something, that I was aware for quite a time but wasn't sure, what it really is: Development. You started somehere out there, where no living man's foot ever touched the groung - 'Woolly Monster Land'. In the beginning there was first - can we call it tests ?! (no !) - 'What I did at the weekend' and 'My hobbies', and I enchanted (seriously) grown-up male adults (hairy beasts that drink beer and smell strange most of the time...), then the 'Teleporter' and 'Grey Heights Guesthouse'... all so very unique and 'different'.
And now the knitted Aliens, but (even more ?) the set... enchanted by woollymonster-charming-spell again... So cute, and so different, and so beautiful, and so... unique !
I will take more time tomorrow to sit down and watch every picture for quite some time. Lot's to learn here....
Thanks.
Wow, Ceri, those images look fantastic! So much fun detail so well done. I especially love the expressions you're getting from the felt shapes on the whoolies.
And so excited to hear you'e using the FZ50! I plan on shooting with that too! How great your shots are looking is encouraging!
Sweet! Your sets and puppets are gorgeous!
FUNTASTIC indeed!
jriggity
haha. Those guys are great. Love the set!
WOW!!! That image quality really POPS! I would have bought an FZ50 but couldn't afford it. Might get one in the future. How many exposures do you think one can do?
Great set and puppets, too. Your lighting really brings out the details.
Hi Don, by 'how many exposures can it do?' do you mean how many photos can it take before it stops working properly?
I dunno yet, but I'm under the impression that it will be significantly more than a proper DSLR, due to it having fewer parts...
Ask me again after a few thousand frames though!
wow, well-chosen colors and it has a very good image quality
Thanks everyone, glad you like the set.
I'm really impressed with the FZ50 and now I've fiddled with the white balance everything looks a bit less yellow than it did these pictures.
When do we get to see this animated?????
